DRUG FREE COMMUNITIES

The Southeast Missouri Drug Free Communities Coalition was founded in 2006 to change community norms in the counties of Scott, New Madrid, and Mississippi.  The coalition addresses drug and alcohol issues bringing people and resources to the table and providing consistent messages over time. By utilizing multiple strategies across multiple sectors the coalition can impact their counties by changing the way people view such things as underage drinking. Funding is through SAMHSA and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. Mission Missouri is a member of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of American and a registered coalition with the State of Missouri.
